Greencross vets offer a professional cat and dog grooming service at many of our practices.

We offer hydrobaths, clipping, scissoring, special occasion doggy doo's, medicated and conditioning washes, blow-drying and some even colouring and creative requests. Cat clipping is also available and highly recommended for long haired cats who are hard to manage, they can feel so much better in the summer months and are much easier to maintain. Please note, that most cats need to be sedated  to be clipped (by a veterinarian), as many cats do not like the sound of electric clippers.

Dogs can receive a warm hydrobath, be fluff dried, clipped, scissored, ears cleaned and have their nails trimmed. For more information on grooming packages and costs please refer to one of the clinics below. 

Don’t forget your dog needs to be groomed during the winter months as well as the summer ones.  Many owners leave their dogs coats to grow long over winter in an attempt to keep them warm but this can lead to some skin problems, matting and long hours of brushing and trying to get those knots out.  Give your dog a treat and get them clipped to a manageable length every couple of months.

In the interest of health and wellbeing all patients admitted to Greencross Vets for grooming will require a C5 vaccination for dogs and an F3 vaccination for cats. Exceptions will be allowed under Veterinary authority for aged and/or ill patients.

Hydrobaths

Hydrobaths are a great way to keep your dog smelling fresh and clean without you getting wet also. Many of our vet practices are equipped with hydrobaths and prefer that appointments are made as some weekends can get very busy.

Our practices supply high quality grooming products for all needs and skin type including 'Pure Animal Well Being' PAW and the Dermcare range which is suitabale for various skin types and conditions.
